The Florida Coast Cup Showcase – Part of the WORLDWIDE SHOWCASE SERIES – will be attracting the best teams from the US and Canada!   Over 70+ college coaches and scouts registered in 2017 and this number will increase for 2018. There’s no better place to play and be recognized!  Only 150 teams will be accepted.

The Florida Coast Cup – Part of the WORLDWIDE SHOWCASE SERIES– will be attracting a 120 teams from the US, Caribbean and Canada! Over 100+ college coaches and scouts will be in attendance.

Each team is guaranteed three (3) games.  Bracket play will consist of three (3) games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  Each game is 70-80 minutes. EACH TEAM MAY BE REQUIRED TO PLAY ONE GAME PER DAY.

Entries submitted after January 20th will only be considered for acceptance if there is space available – those teams applying late will be placed on a waiting list. Entries whose payment is not received by January 20th, 2017 will be considered late entries. ***Entry fee to be sent within 2 weeks of submitting the team application.  Refunds will be made to all teams not accepted. Once a team is accepted and paid, no refunds will be given.

Partial refunds will be made if the tournament is canceled due to weather or Acts of God, but approximately half of the entry fee will be retained.

Selection Process: The showcase committee takes pride in thoroughly reviewing team applications. With an extensive research period, the tournament committee will consider equally:

  • Team history
  • Results  (and yes, a 1-0 loss to top competition is better than a 10-0 win against much lesser competition)Placement in national ranking, state ranking, provincial, league, and other notable competitions
  • Team makeup
  • Other events of acceptance
  • Rankings

Our main focus during the selection process is QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.

Acceptance notifications will be e-mailed shortly after the deadline. Early acceptance may be granted for teams traveling from outside the state of Arizona, with the decision made within two (2) weeks after receiving the application provided the application and payments received before the deadline.

Applications will be accepted from teams affiliated with USYSA, US Club Soccer, Canadian Soccer Association and FIFA affiliated youth soccer associations outside of the United States.

Hotel Requirements
THIS IS A STAY AND PLAY EVENT FOR TRAVEL TEAMS.  All teams booking hotel rooms must use the selected hotels provided by the Florida Coast Cup which is being managed by Housing Connections to ensure competitive rates are offered at quality hotels. Any team not using the approved service will NOT be permitted to participate in the tournament and a refund will not be issued.  Once your team(s) are accepted, you will be receiving an email from housing with steps on booking hotel rooms.  For further information, please go to http://floridacoastcup.com/hotels/

Application & Refund Process
Upon acceptance into the tournament, your team entry fee must be paid in full immediately to guarantee your spot. Entry fees are non-refundable.

*All teams are required to stay in one of the official tournament hotels and use one of our approved travel providers to compete at the event.   See details under the hotels tabs – will be live September 2016.

Stay to Play Travel

All teams are required to stay in one of the official tournament hotels and must make their reservations through one of the Florida Coast Cup approved travel vendors. Please note: Failure to make your reservations through one of our approved vendors can result in the non-acceptance of your team for the designated tournament.

Rosters and Eligibility

All teams must enter their rosters complete with bench personnel into the tournaments on-line scheduling system no later than 21 days prior to start of event.

The minimum required information is Name, Date of Birth, player ID number, Uniform number and gender. Revisions can be made to the roster up the night of team registration. This information will appear on the tournament game reports to be used by the referees for check-in on the field prior to each game.

Teams failing to input this information are subject to removal from the event.

Note about eligibility/age requirements: The player’s playing age is determined by the following

USYSA guidelines for 2016/2017.

Guest Players

Is your team not attending but would like the opportunity to guest play with one of our participating teams?

Your information will be provided to coaches that are looking for guest players. Remember, in order to participate, all players and coaches are required to have a current USSF or their Affiliates Player/Coach Pass Card.

IMPORTANT: Due to the different rules and regulations for guest players throughout the many USYS State Associations and other National Governing Bodies (NGB) it is the responsibility of the players and coaches involved to make sure all the required forms and documents are provided to the tournament. If in doubt contact the State Associations/NGB involved.

If you are interested in adding a guest player to your team please follow the steps outlined below to access and add available guest players. Remember, in order to participate, all players and coaches are required to have a current USSF or their Affiliates Player/Coach Pass Card.

How to add a Guest Player to your roster:

  • Go to your Got Soccer team page
  • Click on Disney Preseason Soccer Kickoff under Events Accepted
  • Click on the tab that says “Guest Player”

Select and contact the player from the list and add to your team
